Stotts had one appearance in the conference finals and two appearances in the conference semi-finals in his nine years with the organization.
While the Trail Blazers search for a new head coach, they have to mull over how they can improve the roster around Damian Lillard. CJ McCollum has proven to be a formidable No. 2 option on the offensive end, but the duo of Lillard and McCollum hasn’t proven to be effective in the playoffs.
Provided that, whether they choose to keep McCollum on the roster or not, Portland desperately needs to find another star player to pair with Lillard. If the Trail Blazers fail to make the necessary moves this offseason, Lillard could be one of the next star players that forces his way to a new team sooner rather than later.
