Milwaukee’s defense has been much better the last two games

The Nets offense has struggled in Milwaukee over the last couple of games, but that does not take away from how good the Bucks defense has been. Stopping NBA superstar players like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving is hard, but for Milwaukee, they have turned their focus on the Nets’ role players, resulting in them missing shots and not being able to get going.

After getting blown out in Game 2 of this series in Brooklyn by 39 points, the Bucks came back to Milwaukee and changed their game plan defensively to take away the secondary options for Brooklyn. Guys like Joe Harris, Blake Griffin, Bruce Brown and others have really struggled as of late because of the focus that the Bucks have put on limiting their high-percentage looks.

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant can do what they want on the court, scoring 60+ combined points, but if nobody else is scoring, the Bucks believed that they could have enough offensive firepower to win the games in Milwaukee and they did just that. Kyrie Irving getting hurt and not being available for the second-half of Game 4 definitely changed things in favor of the Bucks, but nonetheless, their defense has still been near perfect.

Brooklyn was one of the best offensive teams in the league during the regular season, scoring 118.6 points per game on average, but in this series against the Bucks, the Nets are only averaging 104.8 points per game and in the last two games, the Nets are only averaging 89.5 points per game on 39.5% shooting from the floor.

Milwaukee has completely taken Brooklyn out of their groove on offense in this series and right now, it looks like the Bucks hold all the momentum in this series. Without Irving and Harden, it should be interesting to see what changes the Nets make to their offense ahead of Game 5, but right now, the Bucks defense definitely has the upper-hand.
