Does this trade make sense for the Portland Trail Blazers?

This does not seem like a trade that the front office would be rushing to make. At the end of the day, players have shown that they can force their way off a team and Damian Lillard could decide to do this if he is unhappy with the current situation in Portland. If this happens, the Trail Blazers might have to just bite the bullet and decide on the best return for Lillard.

When looking at the package that the Pelicans would be able to offer, it would be hard to turn down. Bledsoe is a throw-in but Brandon Ingram is an intriguing player to get back. He has shown that he is an elite scorer and someone that can take over a game. The draft capital is immense and something that could help the Blazers in other potential deals.

It is never positive when a star is moved but at this point, the Blazers might be looking for a change. There is only so much postseason disappointment that a franchise can handle before a big move is made. It was always assumed that CJ McCollum would be the move but it could end up being Lillard if he wants out.

This is a storyline that will be interesting to watch once the offseason rolls around. It is not likely but if Lillard wants out, this is one deal that the Trail Blazers could be interested in.
