The Kings been in rebuilding mode for years now. They are one of the bottom teams in the league year in and year out and that does not look like that is going to change anytime soon. Embracing more of that may be required given the lack of success they have achieved.
With that being said, if sending a player like Harrison Barnes away via trade would land a helpful return. It is time if they take advantage of his value and get some assets that could potentially be flipped in another deal. Landing a helpful complementary wing in Kyle Anderson would help while Justise Winslow would just be a way to shed salary cap space after the upcoming season.
The Kings have a lot of work to do if they want to get back to completing for a postseason spot. It will be interesting to see which direction the front office goes and if they decide to ultimately build around De’Aaron Fox.
