Memphis Grizzlies Receive: F Harrison Barnes
Sacramento Kings Receive: F Kyle Anderson, F Justise Winslow, 2021 1st Round Pick, 2024 2nd Round Pick (via TOR)
Harrison Barnes going to Memphis would take the Grizzlies to another level. They would not have to give up too much in this deal in the form of players since they would be taking on the substantial contract that Barnes is under through the 2022-23 season.
While much has been made about Barnes’ contract, it’s important to at least mention that he has a descending deal. He earned roughly $24.1 million in 2019-20 and that decreased to $22.2 million this season. He will earn $20.3 million in 2021-22 and just $18.4 million in the final year of this deal.

The Kings would take on the contracts of Kyle Anderson and Justise Winslow, which would free up future cap space. Anderson will earn $9.9 million next season in what will be the final year of his current contract. Meanwhile, Winslow has a $13 million team option this offseason and would just be included for salary purposes, for the most part.
Kyle Anderson and Justise Winslow would be the two players going back to Sacramento. This would give the Kings some rotation-ready players with experience in the postseason. The Kings will also get draft capital, which is extremely valuable to a rebuilding team.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Harrison Barnes would impact both the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings.
