2021 NBA Mock Draft: Picks 16-20

16. Boston Celtics

Kai Jones, PF, Texas

If Jones falls to the Celtics here, this pick seems like a no-brainer. He is viewed as one of the best power forwards in this draft but is a bit raw. Teams will like his length and ability to be a rim protector. Jones will enter the league as a work-in-progress but has a high ceiling once he gets his feet wet. For a team like the Celtics that needs to improve the frontcourt, this pick is a home run.

17. Memphis Grizzlies

Usman Garuba, C, Spain

Garuba has minimal skill on the offensive end and that is keeping him from being a lottery pick. This is something that will have to improve but his defensive ability and agility at 6-foot-8 make him a first-round pick. Garuba can guard out near the perimeter or stay down low with other bigs. Garuba did not put up the big numbers in Spain but his ceiling and potential at the NBA level could be extremely high.

18. Oklahoma City Thunder (from Miami Heat)

Tre Mann, PG, Florida

Where will Mann end up being drafted? He worked his way into a solid first-round selection in year two at Florida. Now, Mann will have to wait to see if he is a lottery pick or slides down a bit. If he does slide, the Thunder could take advantage. Oklahoma City could land in the top five and get that elite prospect. To pair players like Kuminga and Mann with Gilgeous-Alexander would give the franchise even more of a platform moving forward.

19. New York Knicks

Ziare Williams, SF, Stanford

There is immediate pressure when being drafted by the Knicks. This is a franchise that has been hit or miss on draft night in recent years. Despite being lower than usual, New York will have some intriguing prospects on the board when it is on the clock. Williams is one to look at. Williams was at one time considered a lottery pick. He has fallen because of his frame. Regardless, Williams has potential at the next level because of his length and athleticism. He was not a huge scorer at Stanford. The Knicks could get some good value with Williams at this point in the draft.

20. Atlanta Hawks

Ayo Dosunmu, SG, Illinois

Atlanta could go many ways with their selection here. Dosunmu remains a solid option because of his skillset and fit with the Hawks. They are a team that likes to play fast and get up a lot of threes. Dosunmu fits the bill. He scored 20.1 points per game and improved his three-point shot to 38.6% this season, which was a huge upgrade from his sophomore year. Dosunmu is another player that will benefit from returning to school for one more year. He polished his game and is now being viewed as an elite prospect at the next level.
