New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans have great star power on their roster already. Zion Williamson seems like the only untouchable player, especially if Lillard is going to be the return. The goal for New Orleans would be to put this duo on the floor and build around them.

At the moment, the Pelicans’ duo of Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram is the future. Ingram signed an extension prior to the regular season but could be the main trade piece involved in a deal for Damian Lillard. The Pelicans could also throw in Eric Bledsoe, who came over in the Jrue Holiday deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.

New Orleans is also loaded with NBA Draft capital that they could move for a star like Lillard. The duo of Lillard and Williamson would be one of the most exciting in the league and bring the Pelicans closer to the postseason. They made strides this season but still seem to be missing that next-level point guard.

Lillard would solve that problem. He is one of the top players in the league and worth whatever haul the Pelicans would have to give up. They were aggressive last offseason and that could continue if they want to connect with Portland.
