The Los Angeles Lakers dealt with injuries to their star players this season which caused them to fall in the standings. Los Angeles entered the NBA postseason as the seventh seed and had to take down the Golden State Warriors before clinching a spot in a seven-game series. Now, the Lakers will have to take on second-seeded Phoenix in round one.

Despite their seed, the Lakers are still the favorite to come out of the Western Conference and second to win the championship behind the Brooklyn Nets. LeBron James has never worried too much about the regular season and this is another instance.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis focused on getting healthy for the postseason and now is the chance to show it. It will just be a more difficult road this season as a lower seed. Once the season is over, the Lakers will have some room to make moves, both in free agency and in the trade market.

Los Angeles has been extremely aggressive in hopes of building the next great dynasty. Aside from LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers have made big moves in other areas.

The Lakers made a trade for Dennis Schroder last offseason and signed Montrezl Harrell in NBA free agency. There could be some movement in the lineup if the front office finds better options.
