Does this trade make sense for the Cleveland Cavaliers?

The Cavaliers have been in the bottom third of the Eastern Conference in each of the last three years. This is not going to change with the current roster configuration. They have made some big moves this season and could continue as the offseason rolls in.

Andre Drummond agreed to a buyout with the team before signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. Love missed time with an injury and could be the next big on his way out. He is a longtime Cav but his time has come and gone. Cleveland saw Sexton have a breakout season on the offensive end of the floor but he might have dominated the ball a bit too much for the liking of his teammates.

If they can land CJ McCollum in a deal like this, they would get their next franchise player. McCollum has been the second option in Cleveland over the years and could finally become the No. 1 option within an offense.

The Eastern Conference is weak near the bottom of the postseason which gives the bottom feeders some hope. Cleveland is one of those teams that could be looking to improve right away with a deal such as this one.
