Charlotte Hornets Receive: C/F Kristaps Porzingis

Dallas Mavericks Receive: F/C P.J. Washington, 2022 first-round pick (lottery protected)

Kristaps Porzingis has already been part of a blockbuster deal when he was sent to the Dallas Mavericks from the New York Knicks. This could be another one that is a bit more of a surprise. He would join an up-and-coming team in the Charlotte Hornets with some outstanding guard play. That will make his job a bit easier but he will have to put his ego aside.

The Hornets would welcome this deal if they do not have to give up any of its guards. On the other hand, Charlotte would have to take on the massive contract of Porzingis. In return, they would send P.J. Washington and a first-round pick in next year’s draft to Dallas.
