Trades during the NBA Draft are an annual tradition that is unlike any other sport. Players will put the hat on of the team that selected them, even though they are headed elsewhere. Teams will make picks for other teams due to trades, and there are usually a decent number of deals conducted throughout the entirety of the draft.
The 2021 NBA Draft should be no different when it comes to possible trades taking shape early in the draft. Some teams would prefer to stay put where they are at as they select a young player in hopes they are someone they can build around.

On the other hand, other teams are seeking proven players to acquire instead of taking a chance on a first-year player. Whether using a draft pick or just executing a trade on the night of the draft, these are scenarios that are important to the flow of things, too.
