Brandon Clarke
The Memphis Grizzlies were one of the exciting stories of the 2020-2021 NBA season as they snuck into the playoffs as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. Memphis defeated the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors in the play-in tournament to secure the final spot in the Western Conference.
A large reason why they were able to advance to the postseason was due to Ja Morant showing why he’s a budding superstar in the league.

Despite being eliminated in five games in the first round of the playoffs, the Grizzlies have a few young pieces to build around. Besides Morant, Dillon Brooks and Jaren Jackson Jr. are guys that Memphis could keep around for quite some time. Xavier Tillman, De’Anthony Melton, and Desmond Bane are also guys that showed potential in recent years.
But with Jackson and Tillman looking to be long-term pieces in Memphis’ front court, Brandon Clarke could be on his way out. Clarke just completed his second season in the NBA, but he’s only started in 20 games in his first two seasons.
The Gonzaga product has mainly operated off of the bench and is capable of stretching the floor at power forward or as a small-ball center. Maybe Clarke could show signs of life if he was given an expanded role elsewhere.
