New York Knicks
The New York Knicks are another team to keep an eye on. New York has a ton of cap space to use this offseason. There are numerous point guards available in NBA free agency, such as Lonzo Ball, Dennis Schroder, possibly Chris Paul and the aforementioned Kyle Lowry.

If the Knicks strike out on those players, they could look to upgrade the position via trade. They have been linked to John Wall already and could show interest in Walker, as well, should they receive a sweetener.
There will be alternative options for the Knicks that would have less of a long-term burden on their salary cap situation including names like Dennis Schroder, Mike Conley, Kyle Lowry, Spencer Dinwiddie or even Lonzo Ball.
The Knicks do not need to feel compelled into rushing to make a trade for a veteran point guard. Adding one with the dynamic scoring ability of Kemba Walker would certainly help if he can stay healthy, but they will be far from desperate in their pursuit.
