Lonzo Ball would be a great pairing for the Thunder to build their team around. They would provide plenty of scoring, shooting, playmaking and defense. Their skill sets would allow Oklahoma City to open things up, as they could develop into one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA.
The Thunder had the worst assist-to-turnover ratio in the NBA last season, and Ball would certainly help in that area. Having another playmaker would take a lot of pressure off of SGA, who was the focal point of the Thunder’s attack.
Prying Lonzo Ball from New Orleans will not be an easy task, as there will be several teams vying to sign him. He is also a restricted free agent, so New Orleans has the right to match any offer sheet that he signs. How much will it take for the Pelicans not to match? We will have to wait and see when free agency rolls around.
