Ish Smith

The Nets could have a lot of replenishing on their roster to do, in their backcourt specifically. Brooklyn could lose Spencer Dinwiddie, who has a player option. Tyler Johnson, Bruce Brown, Mike James, Chris Chiozza and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot are all free agents as well. Replacing all of them could prove challenging, but targeting veterans such as Ish Smith could help fill the void.

Smith will be 33 years old when the 2021-22 season begins, but he has proven that he can still provide productive minutes for a team. He spent this season with the Washington Wizards, backing up Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal, so he knows how to play with ball-dominant star players.

In only 21 minutes per game, Ish Smith averaged 6.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists with a paltry 0.9 turnovers. He would be a great target for the second unit, as he should come relatively cheap with the allure of an NBA championship being the selling point.

Ish Smith has played in only nine playoff games as a rotation player, so the allure of being on a contender could be too much to pass up.
