The Hypothetical Trade
Celtics Receive: Coby White, Tomas Satoransky, Al-Farouq Aminu
Bulls Receive: Kemba Walker
On the outside looking in, this trade would make a lot of sense for both teams involved. With Boston needing to make some moves and Walker not fitting in great alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, this move could be exactly what the doctor ordered. Brad Stevens would be making his first big trade as the new President of Basketball Operations in Boston.
Walker is still a very good scorer, but he is not the superstar that he once was. At least, he isn’t that superstar within the Celtics’ offense. Perhaps a change of scenery to the Bulls could help him get back to that level of play.
For the Bulls, being able to acquire a talent like Walker at the point guard position will be a high priority. Walker would take pressure off of Zach LaVine in the back-court. He is a great leader and can create for teammates as well.
Let’s take a closer look at why this trade would make sense for both the Celtics and Bulls this offseason.
