Alex Caruso
Possibly the biggest free agent the Pacers have this summer is point guard, T.J. McConnell. If they are unable to re-sign him, they will need to find another guard in free agency and Alex Caruso would fit the bill.

Caruso brings some similar qualities to the court as McConnell. Both get after it defensively, as Caruso is big enough to defend three positions. While not as polished a playmaker as McConnell, Caruso does bring a little more scoring punch and outside shooting to the table.
One of the limitations the Pacers faces with McConnell was his outright unwillingness to shoot from beyond the arc at times. That hurt the flow of their half-court offense throughout games and is particularly problematic come playoff time as that’s a prime tendency for the opposition to exploit. That would not be an issue with Alex Caruso.
Convincing Alex Caruso to leave the Los Angeles Lakers wouldn’t be an easy task, but a bigger role and a raise could do the trick.
