The Portland Trail Blazers ended up being sent home early in the NBA playoffs after being eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in Round 1. This occurred despite Damian Lillard leading the playoffs in scoring and absolutely putting the team on his back in their Game 5 double-overtime loss for 55 points.

Jason Quick and Shams Charania of The Athletic, also reported on Saturday that “several NBA teams” are closely monitoring the situation between Lillard and the Blazers.
“Sources say several NBA teams — including those in the top markets — are already intensely monitoring this situation in Portland and how it develops to look for an opening to make trade offers.”
If there’s one thing about Damian Lillard, he is not shy to debunk falsehoods that are spreading around about his name. However, there hasn’t been a report stating that he wants to be traded to a new team. Instead, it sounds as though he wants his input to be put to as much as use as possible by creating additional leverage.
Simply put…you can make all the calls for Damian Lillard that you want. Until he outright says “I want out, trade me”, he’s not getting dealt.
