Bradley Beal
One of the more common fixtures in NBA trade rumors over the last few years has been Washington Wizards’ Bradley Beal. That is not only going to persist this offseason, but perhaps may intensify after the team barely made it to the NBA playoffs and was handily eliminated in Round 1.

According to Ava Wallace of Washington Post, multiple sources with knowledge of Bradley Beal’s situation expressed how he wanted to see how the Wizards could prove they could be a winning organization at the start of the year.
“Beal, 27, becomes a free agent a year from now when his two-year, $72 million extension from 2019 runs out, but he could ask for a trade before then. Although the all-star guard expressed no interest in leaving the team throughout the season, according to multiple people with knowledge of Beal’s situation, he made it clear at the start of the year that he wanted the Wizards to prove they could be a winning organization.”
While the Wizards dealt with no shortage of injuries this season, it’s clear they have not done an adequate job of surrounding Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook with much for perimeter shooting or defensive impact, for that matter. That’s not really showing you’re a winning organization…
There’s been so much smoke surrounding Beal potentially being traded for so long…at some point, it seems inevitable for it to happen.
Verdict: Buying that Bradley Beal is keeping a close eye on the front office’s moves…
