Josh Richardson
Replacing someone such as DeMar DeRozan would not be easy. DeRozan is coming into his own as a playmaker, as he led the team in assists this season. His development there, willingness to play a new role and still being as dangerous as ever scoring from the mid-range will make him a popular commodity.

If the Spurs want him back, they can certainly afford it. However, if he does leave, someone such as Josh Richardson could help fill that void.
Richardson is a versatile defender and would fit the new small-ball approach that Popovich adopted this past season. He can defend three or four positions and is a solid shooter, knocking down 35.8 percent of his 3-point attempts in his career. While that number has decreased three consecutive seasons, his free throw shooting percentage is a good barometer that he can get it figured out from deep.
Keep in mind, Josh Richardson also has some playmaking chops, as he averages 2.8 per game in his career and had a career-high 4.1 in his final season with the Miami Heat, where they were expanding his game.
Overall, Josh Richardson would help greatly fill the hole left by a potential DeRozan departure and come cheaper, leaving them money to spend elsewhere on the roster.
