Would the trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
In recent seasons, the Indiana Pacers have seemed willing to listen to offers involving Myles Turner. Indiana reportedly tried to include Myles Turner in a sign-and-trade involving Gordon Hayward last offseason, only for Hayward to join the Charlotte Hornets. So it’s obvious that the Pacers are interested in parting ways with the former first-round pick out of Texas for the right price.

The Pacers are in an awkward spot where they aren’t good enough to compete for a title, but they can secure a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. In light of that, Indiana could move a couple of their current pieces in hopes to get somewhat of new-look roster. If the Pacers were to go through with a trade that offloads Turner, then they could get two valuable pieces in Kuzma and Harrell.
Kyle Kuzma could continue to develop into a possible starter at either forward spot, and at the very least, he could be a much-needed spark off of the bench. As for Harrell, he’s an energy guy that is going to excel at grabbing offensive rebounds and scoring in spurts when he’s on the floor.
Unless a team offers a star player for Turner straight up — which seems unlikely — then there’s no reason the Pacers shouldn’t attempt to work something out with the Lakers that can benefit both sides.
