Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Myles Turner
Indiana Pacers Receive: Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Alfonzo McKinnie, 2021 second-round pick (via DET)
Any trade that the Lakers want to conduct this offseason likely has to include Kyle Kuzma or Talen Horton-Tucker. But since Kuzma’s contract is a bit more expensive, he’d make it easier for Los Angeles to fit the rest of Myles Turner’s $54 million in cap hits over the next three seasons. Kuzma also has a three-year, $39 million extension that will kick in next season that includes a 2023 player option.

If the Lakers are making a move for Myles Turner, then it’s obvious that they aren’t content with their current front court rotation aside from Anthony Davis. Therefore, putting Montrezl Harrell into the trade would help make the deal work money-wise, and it would help the Pacers replace Turner.
Lastly, Los Angeles could include Alfonzo McKinnie and Detroit’s second-round pick in this year’s draft, making a deal that seems fair for both sides.
Horton-Tucker is definitely a piece that could be included in the deal, but I’d assume the Lakers will try to finalize a trade that leaves him out of it, giving them options on what they want to do with the young two-way wing. A duo of Kuzma and Harrell wouldn’t be a terrible haul for a player that Indiana has continually expressed interest in moving for the right price.
