Bradley Beal to the Miami Heat

Fans of the NBA — unless you’re a fan of the Wizards — have been continuously hoping that Beal can find his way out of the nation’s capital sooner rather than later. There’s no reason for a talent like Beal to be wasted on a team that is always fighting for a bottom seed in the playoffs, if they even get that far.

Beal has evolved into one of the premier scorers in the league, finishing second in scoring to Curry this season with a career-best 31.3 points per game. The duo of Beal and Westbrook carried the Wizards to an improbable playoff run after a putrid start to the regular season. And even with the ongoing issues within the Washington organization, Beal has proven his commitment to the franchise that drafted him in 2012.

If the Wizards want to continue holding Beal ransom, then we will continue to speak a trade involving Beal into existence. In the event that Beal was made available, there would be 29 teams calling Washington to see if they can get a deal completed. Among the teams that have a legitimate shot, the Miami Heat make the most sense for the Florida alumn.

Beal would be able to return close to where he played in college and play for a franchise that is always gearing toward a title run. The always popular “Heat culture” is also something that fits Beal’s mindset perfectly. Forming a trio of Beal, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo could steer Miami back in the right direction after their first round exit this playoffs.

Any trade that the Heat are present in are likely going to begin with Tyler Herro and/or Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn. It would need to be sign-and-trades for Robinson and Nunn as both of them are impending free agents. Lastly, aside from a boatload of first-rounders, Miami would need to insert either Andre Iguodola or Trevor Ariza into the trade to be able to take in Beal’s contract.
