After yet another losing season, the Minnesota Timberwolves have a lot of decisions to make in terms of what their roster is going to look like heading into next NBA season. Their core of Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Anthony Edwards are under contract for the foreseeable future, but this team is well over the salary cap heading into the offseason.

With just 73 wins over the last three seasons, the Timberwolves have a lot of work to do in terms of getting this team to compete in the Western Conference, which is why they could look to move some of their younger, less involved players this offseason to add more talent to their roster.

Ricky Rubio is certainly a player that will be on the trade block, especially if the Timberwolves end up keeping their first-round pick this year in the top-3 of the draft, but there are a handful of other players on this roster that could definitely be moved ahead of free agency.

Fully healthy, Minnesota’s starting rotation is actually quite talented, but their surrounding cast really needs to improve if this team is truly going to make a jump to the next level moving forward. As a result, the Houston Rockets could be a team the Timberwolves look at to make a trade with, specifically for Eric Gordon.

Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report came up with an offseason trade proposal involving the veteran shooting guard, sending him to Minnesota where he could help this young Timberwolves team grow and potentially make some noise next year.

So what would the T-Wolves have to give up to acquire Gordon? If he is available in trade talks, Eric Gordon is going to be a highly sought after veteran player, but here is what the Timberwolves could offer up to try and acquire him this offseason.
