Marvin Bagley III

Seeing that the Pacers aren’t a team that players are clamoring to play for, Indiana may need to target players that are cheap, yet have the potential to become a key piece for the organization. One team that could be willing to deal some of their players this offseason is the Sacramento Kings. And if they are indeed sellers, Marvin Bagley III is a name to keep an eye on.

Marvin Bagley III, a former first-round pick of the Kings in the 2018 NBA Draft, was taken one pick ahead of Luka Doncic. Given that, Bagley was forced to live up to lofty expectations due to the team’s failure to select either Doncic or Trae Young. In his first three seasons in the NBA, Bagley has averaged 14+ points and 7+ rebounds each year, but injuries have been a concern.

At the same time, Bagley hasn’t had much of a defined role with the Kings, leading to him having inconsistencies in his production. For the Pacers, Marvin III Bagley would be a welcomed addition to a front court that could part ways with Turner in the offseason.

Marvin Bagley III would either operate as a bench contributor to spell Sabonis when he needed a rest, or the Duke product would start at power forward while Sabonis makes the transition to center full-time.
