Does this trade make sense for the Milwaukee Bucks?
The Buck have hardly any draft picks over the next few years and they do not have virtually any cap space, which is why the only way for them to add more talent is through a trade. It is very likely that they will want to hold onto Middleton and Holiday through the offseason, which is why Brook Lopez, Donte DiVincenzo and Pat Connaughtin become the “odd-man-out” due to them having the next highest contracts on the team.
Out of these three guys, DiVincenzo is the most valuable to the Bucks given that he is only 24-years-old and had a career-year averaging 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and shooting 37.9% from three-point range.

Given his ability to be a factor on both ends of the court, he is definitely a player San Antonio should be interested in, but who knows if they would be interested in both Brook Lopez and Pat Connaughton. They are both solid players that could contribute, but they do not really fit what the Spurs are looking to do moving forward with young, athletic talents.
Connaughton maybe fits this mold, but Lopez is nothing more than a veteran center who can extend the floor and help out offensively. Defensively, he is not really much of a factor other than being a lengthy guy in the paint.
Overall, the Bucks definitely would win this trade if they made it with the Spurs in the offseason because Derrick White is the best player in this deal and he would be on his way to Milwaukee. He will be turning 27-year-old in July, but he is going to be entering the best years of his career and with him having the ability to score at all three-levels, he would be yet another weapon Milwaukee could utilize to potentially make a run to the NBA Finals.
