Malcolm Brogdon
Amid the quick series versus the Hawks, and during the course of the regular season, it was clear as day that the Knicks were missing a key piece: a true point guard. When New York got into a bind on offense, they would pass the ball to Randle, who would proceed to dribble out the shot clock and attempt an ill-advised shot. The Knicks desperately need a guard that can create for himself and for others.
In free agency, names like Lonzo Ball and Dennis Schroder are names to keep an eye on. But for a trade, the Knicks should turn their attention to Malcolm Brogdon of the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers are in an awkward spot where they aren’t an awful team, but they also aren’t talented enough to make a deep playoff push, so they’re stuck in purgatory if their roster remains the same.

Provided that, Indiana could be willing to listen to offers surrounding Brogdon, Myles Turner, and Domantas Sabonis. For New York, getting Brogdon would solve a ton of their glaring issues.
Brogdon isn’t a point guard that is going to create flashy plays or dunk on defenders, but he does more than enough to be considered a great two-way guard. The ability to knock down outside shots efficiently, dish out assists, and play physical defense are things that should entice the Knicks to pursue Malcolm Brogdon via trade.
