3 teams who should try to trade for Warriors’ Draymond Green

It almost seems as if the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have spent nearly two decades together on the Golden State Warriors. They’ve accomplished quite a lot together, with three NBA championships being the most impressive feat, even with Kevin Durant helping secure two of them. Despite the success they’ve experienced over the years together, the Warriors have hit a roadblock in recent years.

Thompson has suffered back-to-back season-ending injuries, preventing him from playing in a single game since the NBA Finals in 2019. Due to Thompson being sidelined, Golden State has had multiple players occupy the starting lineup in hopes they could help replace his production. However, it has been for naught as the Warriors have failed to make the playoffs in the last two seasons.

With the offseason steadily approaching, Golden State is ecstatic to have the opportunity to get Thompson back on the court. The duo of Curry and Thompson in the backcourt is what keeps the engine for the Warriors running, giving them the best sharpshooting backcourt in NBA history. But what about Green?

Given the struggles of the team in recent seasons — as unlikely as it could be — Golden State could be willing to entertain offers for Green this offseason.

If the Golden State Warriors make Draymond Green available in hopes to improve their roster, there are a few teams that should express interest in the veteran power forward.
