The Mavericks won the first two games on the road in this series, then the Clippers won two straight games on the road in Dallas and it just seems like home court advantage does not exist in this series! 

The Dallas Mavericks surprised the NBA world yet again as they went to Los Angeles for a third time in this series Wednesday night and beat the LA Clippers to take a 3-2 lead in this first-round series.

The road team has now won in every single game between the Mavs and Clippers, leaving Game 6 to be a huge question mark. This is a “do-or-die” game for the Clippers as they have their backs up against the wall, but they are more than capable of not only winning on the road in Dallas, but then winning Game 7 at home. 

This series is far from over and it should not be a surprise to see it go to a decisive Game 7. However, there is a lot to talk about in regards to the Mavericks’ Game 5 victory. Not only was Luka Doncic fantastic in this game yet again, but Tim Hardaway Jr. hit some big shots down the stretch to seal the deal for the Mavericks.
