The Indiana Pacers are going to be looking to make some changes this offseason after a very disappointing 2020-21 campaign. While they want to keep some of their roster intact, they will be open to trading some of their talent with big man Myles Turner being at the center of that rumor mill. At this point in time, there is a large market for Turner and both the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics are among the teams interested.

According to a source, the Celtics and Lakers, along with the New York Knicks and Charlotte Hornets, are all interested in potentially swinging a deal with the Pacers for Turner.

Turner would be a massive addition for all four of the teams mentioned. They are all looking to make a big push this offseason to be more in contention for an NBA Finals run. At the time of this writing, only the Lakers are still alive in the playoffs, but are facing elimination down 3-2 against the Phoenix Suns.

During the 2020-21 NBA season with the Pacers, Turner put together a solid campaign before going down with what ended up being a season-ending injury. He averaged 12.6 points per game to go along with 6.5 rebounds and 3.4 blocks. In addition to those averages, Turner shot 47.7 percent from the floor and 33.5 percent from the three-point line.

Looking at the current teams interested, the Lakers, Knicks, and Celtics are all serious playoff contenders moving forward. Adding a talent like Myles Turner would simply help them become even bigger threats. For the Hornets, they would be making this move in an attempt to become a serious threat in the Eastern Conference.

There is still a very strong chance that the Pacers could keep Turner and pair him with Domantas Sabonis in the front-court to start next season. Kevin Pritchard is not going to trade Turner just for the sake of making a move. However, if there was an offseason for a deal to happen, this would be that offseason.

Expect to hear plenty of rumors surrounding the Pacers this offseason. Turner will be in the middle of a lot of those rumors and the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks, and Hornets are all teams to keep a close eye on.
