Memphis Grizzlies Receive: G/F Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards Receive: G/F Dillon Brooks, G Desmond Bane, F Brandon Clarke, F Justise Winslow, MEM 2021 1st Round Pick (Pick #17)
From the beginning of the 2020-21 season, there have been NBA trade rumors with Bradley Beal’s name involved, yet the Wizards and Beal have said over and over that he is not going to be traded and that he wants to stay in Washington. This may be true that Beal does not want to leave, but if the Wizards are going to get an “Anthony Davis-like” trade package in return for the superstar shooting guard, they could definitely be interested in hearing the offer out.
In this deal with Memphis, the Wizards would be getting a highly talented guard in Dillon Brooks, as well as two young players with upside in Desmond Bane and Brandon Clarke. Not to mention, Washington would also get a veteran forward in Justise Winslow and the 17th pick in this year’s draft.

Clarke and Bane were both first-round picks in 2019 and 2020 respectively and Dillon Brooks is having some breakout performances in the playoffs this year, so there is definitely value to be had here for the Wizards, especially since they do not have much of an impressive roster and not a whole lot of talent at each position.
Memphis has been quiet over the years when it comes to making big trades and signing big name guys in free agency, but they have the assets to offer up that could create an interesting scenario for Washington and Bradley Beal.

The 27-year-old All-Star is going to be entering the final year of his contract next season, since he has a player option for the 2022-23 season, which is why now is the time to trade Bradley Beal if Washington wants to get the most return for him. It is a tough decision to make, but this is definitely an intriguing trade scenario for both teams.
With that said, let’s break down this trade from both teams’ perspectives and truly see if this is something that both the Grizzlies and Wizards should be interested in this offseason.
