With them in the midst of their NBA postseason run, who knows how the Los Angeles Clippers’ season will end, but regardless of whether or not they make it far in the playoffs, they are going to be searching for ways to add more talent to their roster in the offseason. 

For the sake of keeping Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers need to make it far in the playoffs since he has a player option for next season that he is likely going to opt out of, making him an unrestricted free agent this summer.

With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, Los Angeles is going to continue to be a force in the Western Conference, but if they truly want to be a championship team, they are going to have to create their own “Big 3” like other teams have. 

With virtually no cap space, no draft assets and very few young talents on their roster, the Clippers are going to have their backs up against the wall in terms of searching for key talents to add to their roster in the offseason, but there is a potential way that they could lure DeMar DeRozan back home to California.

DeRozan is from Compton, California, which is a city in southern Los Angeles county, which is less than 30 minutes from downtown L.A. There were a lot of talks last offseason about the Lakers possibly looking to bring in DeMar DeRozan, but could the Clippers do it? 

In a recent trade proposal by Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report, he sees the Clippers possibly being able to pull off a sign-and-trade for DeRozan with the San Antonio Spurs this offseason.
