The Lakers are one of the best teams in the NBA who were riddled with injuries throughout the season, so adding a pair of very good players could help them if that situation were to occur again. Bojan Bogdanovic is obviously the star of this trade, and rightfully so as he’s proven to be an effective player on both ends of the floor on a nightly basis.
In 2020-21, Bogdanovic averaged 17.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 43.9 percent from the floor and 39.0 percent from beyond the arc for the Utah Jazz. He stepped up in a major way when Donovan Mitchell was sidelined towards the end of the season to keep the team afloat.
Adding a quality starter from the best team in the Western Conference would be a major upgrade for the Lakers. Los Angeles would also have more lineup flexibility at their disposal by deploying Anthony Davis at the five spot with Bogdanovic at the four.
