Does this trade make sense for the Detroit Pistons?

The Detroit Pistons sent away their veterans in hopes of rebuilding and developing some young talent. That includes the players drafted this year along with some others acquired. In the offseason, Detroit was aggressive in NBA free agency and landed Jerami Grant, who had his best individual season. It is unknown if Grant will be on the team next season. The Pistons have options if they want to make some moves.

Jarrett Culver would fit into the plan. He is a second-year player that has left much to be desired on the offensive end of the floor. He is a strong defender because of his length and athleticism but is very raw on the other end. This is where an extended role in Detroit would benefit him.

Culver would join prospects like Killian Hayes and Saddiq Bey as the potential future of the franchise. It would not be an expensive deal for a team looking to add some more young players.

Detroit has a long way to go if it wants to turn things around. The rebuild will take some time but it could be sped up if they hit on some trades.
