Trade Kemba Walker
One of the biggest moves the Celtics potentially could make in the offseason would be to explore trade options involving Kemba Walker. Entering next season, Walker will have two-years and $73.6M remaining on his contract, assuming that he would opt into the $37.6M player option he has for the 2022-23 season, but finding a viable trade partner for him could be troublesome.

Not many teams will have a ton of cap space this offseason and of the ones that do have a lot of cap space, it is hard to imagine that any of them will be interested in trading for Kemba Walker given how big his contract is value wise.
Kemba Walker has been a vital part of the Celtics’ success over the years and is beloved by his teammates, but his contract is not favorable for the Celtics in terms of adding more talent and his knee issues are definitely a yellow flag.
Dating back to his years at UCONN, Kemba Walker has always dealt with knee injuries and even this season, he missed some time early on due to having an offseason procedure done on his left knee. I would expect the Celtics to keep Walker and look to move others first, but trading Kemba is definitely something that will be on the minds of the Celtics front-office this season as a possible option.
