Does this trade make sense for the Denver Nuggets?
Monte Morris and Will Barton have been two big contributors for the Nuggets this season, but at the end of the day, Kyle Lowry can do more for this team than both of these guys can do combined. From being a main facilitator to being a menace on the defensive-end of the court, Kyle Lowry can still play at a high-level, which is why the Nuggets should invest in him.

Due to him dealing with numerous injuries this season, Lowry’s numbers were down from year’s past, as he only averaged 17.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 7.3 assists, but he is still an impactful, experienced, championship-level point guard that Denver needs.
Even when Jamal Murray returns at some point next season during the second-half of the year, he and Lowry could play together in unison given that Murray can play off-the-ball and be a threat from beyond-the-arc.
With Will Barton potentially entering the final year of his contract, leveraging him now while his value is high could definitely be beneficial to the Nuggets, especially if they are getting a player like Kyle Lowry in return.
With Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. as their “Big 3,” all Denver needs is a key, veteran All-Star that can join this team and make an impact on both ends of the court, which is why this trade makes sense for the Nuggets.
