Does this trade make sense for the Brooklyn Nets?
Myles Turner would be a huge upgrade in the frontcourt for the Nets and make them even more dangerous than they already are, but giving up Joe Harris could be more costly than imagined. Harris is one of the premier three-point shooters in the league and he contributes more to this team than his stats say, which is why this move could potentially hurt the Nets offensively.

At just 25-years-old and continuing to improve his game, Myles Turner would immediately make the Nets a better defensive team, but there are still questions about what he can do offensively. In pick-and-roll sets, Turner is elite given his ability to step out on the perimeter, but in the low-post and under-utilized with KD, Irving and Harden around him, he may struggle to get going.
The Nets are destroying the Celtics in their first-round series right now and are still the favorites to win the championship this year, so if they do in fact win the 2021 NBA Finals, then it is hard to see Brooklyn trading away Joe Harris.
He means a lot to this team and his teammates as well, which is why trading him would definitely cause some rifts between the players and the front-office. The Nets should not even be focused on the future right now, because they have a chance to win their franchise’s first championship ever.
