Both the Chicago Bulls and the New Orleans Pelicans missed the NBA playoffs this year and are still trying to figure out ways to better their teams, but they both could look to potentially help each other this offseason.

Chicago added Nikola Vucevic at the NBA trade deadline this year and moving forward, they have both he and Zach LaVine as their two All-Star talents to potentially make some noise, but they are going to be in dire need of some backcourt help this offseason even though they have Coby White.

On the other side of things, New Orleans has Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram as their two All-Star talents, but they could use more talent in their frontcourt as Williamson is really their only productive “big man.”

As a result, could the Bulls and Pelicans pull off a big trade between some of their best young players? Lonzo Ball is set to be a restricted free agent for the Pelicans, as is Lauri Markkanen for the Bulls, so could both of these guys be included in a double sign-and-trade this offseason?

These types of instances are extremely rare, but Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report seems to think that this is something that could peak the interest of both teams. With that said, let’s take a look at what this trade could look like.
