Through two games, things are all even in the first-round NBA playoff series between the Lakers and the Suns after Los Angeles took Game 2 in Phoenix 109-102 on Tuesday night. After a poor performance in Game 1, Anthony Davis came back in Game 2 for the Lakers and delivered big time.
Anthony Davis scored a game-high 34 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 7 assists. LeBron James had 23 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists as well, marking this game as the first-time all season that both Davis and LeBron had 7+ assists in a game for the Lakers.

Perhaps the most fascinating part of AD’s big night though was that he took 21 total free-throw attempts for the game. His aggressiveness on the offensive-end of the court helped propel the Lakers to a big win in the desert and now they will head back to Los Angeles with the series tied at one game a piece.
Phoenix was not terrible in Game 2, but turnovers really hurt them in the first-half. The Suns had 13 turnovers in Game 2, which helped lead the Lakers to 15 critical fast-break points going the other way.
This Lakers team is so good at turning their opponents over and then scoring in just a matter of seconds, so moving forward, the Suns will definitely have to cut down on their turnovers.
