The LA Clippers handle this series fairly easily in 5 games

To me, I just think the Clippers are the worst team the Dallas Mavericks could have matched up with in the first-round of the NBA playoffs, even if they play into the whole “revenge” narrative from last year. Los Angeles just matches up so well with the Mavericks and as a result, I do not see this series going past 5 games.

Los Angeles has way too many weapons to play around with on the offensive-end of the court and with one of the best two-way players in the entire league in Kawhi Leonard, the Mavericks will have no answers on how to stop him when he gets going.

Luka Doncic is going to do everything can can to carry the Mavericks in this series, which will likely result in a 40+ point game and a Mavericks victory at some point, but given their inconsistent play and the Clippers being a top defensive team in the league, the Mavs are going to struggle to score.

Assuming they remain healthy, the LA Clippers will coast to a series win against the Dallas Mavericks, likely in 5 games. This team finally has a chance to “break the curse” and make their franchise’s first Western Conference Finals appearance ever and the Mavericks are not going to be the team that stops them this year.
