Does this trade make sense for the Golden State Warriors?
This trade could make sense for the Warriors, but it really depends on what their front-office is thinking in terms of Andrew Wiggins’ future with this team. He has been really solid for them this year and quite honestly, underappreciated given all the ways he has impacted the game.
With Wiggins being their third option offensively when Klay Thompson returns next year, he could really thrive and have a breakout season, so the Warriors may not be ready to let him go just yet, even though they would be getting a guy in Kristaps Porzingis who fits their system perfectly.

The acquisition of Porzingis though would give the Warriors’ some problems in their frontcourt, as they would now have Draymond Green, Kristaps Porzingis, James Wiseman and Kevon Looney.
Golden State is extremely high on Wiseman and will look to get him as many opportunities as possible to help him grow into the All-Star talent they believe he can be, and given how well Kevon Looney has been for them for years, it is hard to cut his minutes in half and keep him off the court.
Adding Porzingis definitely increases the Warriors overall talent and their offensive-firepower, but creating a cluster in their frontcourt and adding onto their already high tax bill may not be the best move for this organization to make right now.
