Charlotte Hornets gets off to a fast start in the first quarter
The one thing that separates the Charlotte Hornets from other teams in this league is that they have a ton of young talent that is able to adapt very well to virtually any situation thrown their way. Whether it is pushing the tempo in transition or running a half-court offense, the Hornets seem to be comfortable in any situation, which is why they can usually start off games pretty hot on the offensive-end of the court.

They won two of the three games they played against the Pacers this season and in those two wins, they won the first quarter of play score-wise. Getting off to a fast start is extremely important in a playoff game, and in a game like this where it is essentially “winner takes all,” it will be essential for both of these teams to win the first-quarter.
Given that Indiana is dealing with some injuries and the Hornets have key guys like Terry Rozier, Devonte’ Graham, LaMelo Ball, P.J. Washington and Miles Bridges all healthy and available, could easily go for 30+ total points in the first-quarter and control the game from the opening tip.
Charlotte just has more overall weapons than the Pacers do, which is why I see them getting off to a fast start and taking the early lead after one quarter of play in this game.
