Find reliable players to add to their bench

Outside of their starting lineup, the Kings do not really have much talent, which is why they need to prioritize finding reliable second-unit players in the offseason, This year, the Kings’ bench ranks 26th in the league in points per game and their bench ranks 23rd in field goals made per game.

Overall, in a Western Conference where talent triumphs over everything else, the Kings will really have their work cut out for them in terms of adding reliable, high-level talent in the offseason, especially with not much cap space to work with.

Re-signing key bench players like Moe Harkless and Terence Davis will probably be a given this offseason, but then targeting other key guys in free agency will also be a must. DeMarcus Cousins, Jeff Teague, Torrey Craig, Raul Neto and Kent Bazemore are all experienced, veteran talents that are set to become free agents this upcoming offseason and all could make an impact on the Kings.

Finding affordable players in free agency that can come in and make a difference in the second-unit will be essential for the Kings, especially since their starting rotation is really good right now. De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, Marvin Bagley III and Richaun Holmes are a really strong starting five and Tyrese Haliburton is a really talented young player, but outside of these 6 guys, the Kings do not really have much talent.

If the Kings are to finally make a real run at the postseason next year and have a good shot at ending their streak, they will need to add more talent to their roster, otherwise, they could be looking at year 16 of not being in the postseason.
