Kyle Lowry can be the veteran presence and star of the team at the same time

As previously mentioned, the Knicks have started winning games and have turned themselves into one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference, but this team still needs that one player that can lead them deep into the postseason.

With plenty of playoff experience and a ring to show for it, Kyle Lowry is the perfect player for the Knicks to target in the offseason for numerous reasons. Lowry is finishing up his 15th year in the NBA and while he does not have many years left, he can still be an impactful veteran presence for a younger team like the Knicks.

Not only could he become this team’s emotional leader, but Lowry could definitely be the star of this team given his play on both ends of the court. Julius Randle is the star of the team this year, but if they were to get Lowry, both guys could actually play quite well together and kind of ‘feed” off one another’s energy.

Kyle Lowry is still a threat to score offensively and defensively, he is still a terrific on-ball defender, so he would fit the Knicks’ system perfectly, while also being able to help himself individually as well.

There really is not anything not to like from Lowry’s perspective in terms of joining the Knicks, which is why he should strongly consider joining them in NBA free agency.
