Figure out if Victor Oladipo is a long-term solution
At the NBA trade deadline this year, the Miami Heat were in the running for Kyle Lowry, but after not reaching a deal wit the Raptors for the All-Star guard near the end of the deadline, the Heat quickly scrambled to make a move and they were able to acquire Victor Oladipo for Kelly Olynyk, Avery Bradley and a 2022 pick swap.

Since making this move, Victor Oladipo has only played in 4 games for Miami because of a knee injury he suffered against the Los Angeles Lakers on April 8. Not much has been said about Oladipo’s injury, but he has missed 16 straight games now and could miss the Heat’s final four games of the regular season as well!
Who knows when or if Oladipo will return for the Miami Heat during their playoff run this year, but one of the first orders of business in the offseason for Miami will be deciding on whether or not they want to keep the 2x All-Star guard long-term.
Initially, it seems like the plan all along was to keep Oladipo past this season, but given his injury history, the Heat will likely be very cautious with their contract approach with Victor Oladipo. A one-year deal is not out of the possibilities for the Heat as it pertains to Oladipo being a free agent this offseason, but there have been reports that the former All-Star is seeking a long-term extension.
With other big names also possibly becoming free agents in the offseason, Miami could opt to let Oladipo go in hopes of landing another potential All-Star. This will be something to monitor in NBA rumors, to say the least.
