Explore opportunities to bring in a third All-Star caliber player
Zach LaVine was an All-Star for the first-time in his career this year and Nikola Vucevic for the second-time in his career, but outside of these two guys, it is hard to point to reliable production on this year’s Bulls roster.

Coby White is a young talent with a lot of promise for the future, as is Patrick Williams, and Thaddeus Young has been a pleasant surprise for the Bulls this season, but this is a team that ranks 18th in the league in offensive rating and 21st in the league in scoring.
Chicago really needs to add another high-level, All-Star caliber talent to pair with Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, especially if they are to contend with the best of the best in the Eastern Conference. When you look at the 76ers, Nets and Bucks at the to pof the Eastern Conference standings, the one thing that sticks out is that they all have their own version of a “Big 3.”
Philly has Embiid, Harris and Simmons, the Nets have Durant, Irving and Harden, and the Bucks have Antetokounmpo, Middleton and Holiday. Today’s NBA is so heavily focused on getting star-level players to team up with one another, so going out and getting that third star should be a mission of the Bulls this offseason.
Now, getting a player like Kawhi Leonard would be fantastic, but they do not necessarily need to have that “go big or go home” mentality when it comes to the offseason. As mentioned before, a guy like Lonzo Ball could definitely be that third high-level talent they need. It will certainly be something to watch in NBA rumors.
The Bulls need to bring in somebody who is more than comfortable not only leading the offense, but being comfortable as the “third-man” next to Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. If the Bulls can get this player in free agency or via trade in the offseason, they will definitely be in the playoff discussion next year.
