All-NBA First-Team Predictions

G: Stephen Curry – Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry is one of three guys that should be a unanimous selection to the All-NBA First-Team this year and for good reason. Curry is now 33-years-old, yet he is in the midst of possibly the best career of his season.

We are not going to touch on all of Curry’s records and stats, as you can check out some of his record breaking performers here, but he is leading the league in scoring at 31.8 PPG and is shooting 48.7% from the floor, 42.9% from three-point range and 91.6% from the floor.

He has single-handedly carried the Warriors into the playoff picture in the Western Conference and during the month of April, he had one of the most dominant stretches any player has ever had in NBA history.

This is a no-brainer for me, Stephen Curry is going to be on the All-NBA First-Team this year and should even receive some votes for MVP this season.

G: Luka Doncic – Dallas Mavericks

The second guard spot for the All-NBA First-Team is definitely a toss up between a couple of guys, but Luka Doncic stands out to me because of how consistent he has been all year long for Dallas.

The third year star is averaging 28.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 8.9 assists and is shooting 48.7% from the floor, but much like Steph, he is the reason the Mavericks are in the playoff picture in the Western Conference.

Without him, they would be a borderline playoff team at best and he is the reason why they are going to be in the playoff conversation for at least the next decade. Luka is one of the most dominant players in the league and he is going to win a MVP award in the near future.

F: Giannis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks

The two time reigning league MVP has put up identical numbers to that of last season, but this year, he looks like a man on a mission. Milwaukee went out and added Jrue Holiday in the offseason along with some other role players to surround Giannis with as much talent as possible and Antetokounmpo has once again dominated this league.

Giannis is averaging 28.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists and shooting 56.2% from the floor this year. Not to mention, he has been getting better and better from three-point range as the season has gone on.

If Antetokounmpo can develop a jump shot, it is all over for the rest of the league because this guy cannot be stopped as it is! He is arguably the best player in this league right now, which is why he finds himself on the All-NBA First-Team once again.

F/C: Joel Embiid – Philadelphia 76ers

Before he injured his knee in March, Embiid was one of the front-runners to win this year’s MVP award. The strides the 27-year-old center has made to turn himself into being one of the best big men in the entire league is quite remarkable and he has been having the best season of his career.

As a result, Embiid and the 76ers are the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference and have been the most dominant team in the East all season long. This year is “championship or bust” for the 76ers and with Embiid healthy, there is no reason why they cannot win a title.

He has been amongst the league leaders in points and player efficiency rating all season long and given how dominant he has been as a center who can spread the floor, there is no reason why Embiid should not be a unanimous First-Team selection this year.

C: Nikola Jokic – Denver Nuggets

Like Steph and Embiid, Nikola Jokic is a no-brainer pick for All-NBA First-Team and it is almost a given that he is going to win this year’s MVP award. Not only is Jokic a point guard stuck in a center’s body, but he is breaking records left and right for being a 7-footer who can go for a triple-double on any given night.

Jokic has been the catalyst for the Nuggets all season long and while he may not be viewed as the most dynamic scorer or athletic player in the league, Jokic is perhaps the most dominant player in the league because he plays at his own pace and can literally do whatever he wants to.

For his size, he is actually quite agile and with his passing abilities, he may be one of the most dominant centers in NBA history. The Nuggets are without Jamal Murray, who went down with a torn ACL late in the season, but with Jokic, they still have title aspirations and have a really strong chance to be one of the teams to beat in the West.

Nikola Jokic is this year’s MVP and there is not really anybody else that you can argue deserves the award over him. Some other guys will get votes for MVP, but Jokic has played in every game and has the stats to back up why he is this year’s MVP.
