Why it’s time to be concerned about the Los Angeles Lakers

They do not really have anybody to lean on outside of their star players right now

Building off of their offensive struggles and the idea that the Lakers do not have that third, “go-to” scoring option, one of this team’s biggest concerns is the fact that nobody stepped up when Anthony Davis and LeBron James were injured, hence why they have plummeted in the standings. 

Dennis Schroder put together some really solid games, as did Kyle Kuzma, but overall, there is nobody on this roster that you can point to outside of Anthony Davis and LeBron James and feel comfortable with them being a primary scoring option. 

Both Schroder and Kuzma are great secondary options and great supporting cast players, but who is Los Angeles going to lean on in the playoffs outside of their two superstars?

Is Andre Drummond a guy that can go for 20 points and 10 rebounds every night, especially when the Lakers are only playing him about 25 minutes per game?

Right now, besides LeBron’s health, the biggest concern for this Lakers team is the fact that their offense is very underwhelming and they can easily be exposed on this end of the court. Against faster, higher scoring teams, the Lakers have really struggled this year and this trend could very well continue into the playoffs.
