Boston Celtics
In what has been a season of disappointment, the Boston Celtics are still going to make the playoffs, but there is not a lot of belief that this team can actually make it far like they have in years past.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are two excellent young talents that the Celtics will look to build with and around for the foreseeable future, but this team is lacking overall talent. They have arguably the worst supporting cast in the entire league and given that change is on the horizon for this franchise, going after TJ Warren could be a fantastic move.

While Brown and Tatum are considered “wing players” for the Celtics, Warren could definitely fit in because Jaylen Brown can play the shooting guard position and Jayson Tatum has been used to playing a hybrid of a small/power-forward like position.
Slotting Warren in on the wing next to Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum gives the Celtics plenty of firepower offensively and at just $12.6M, Warren is a very affordable piece for them to target. The only catch is that they may have to be willing to give up Marcus Smart.
The Celtics need to make a big change in the offseason and try to find ways of adding more talent at affordable rates. Warren’s value at $12.6M is extremely high, which is exactly why the Celtics should go out and get him if he is available. He could easily be the difference in them being a championship contender or a championship pretender next year.
