This is a very fair deal between these two talented rosters because they are able to get exactly what they need. The Rockets would benefit from a slew of draft capital as they embark on a rebuild, while the Hornets would benefit from a generational prospect at the center position.

Christian Wood is set to become a free agent following next season, but that shouldn’t prevent the Hornets from pursuing the star center. Wood has all the tools to be a franchise center and the Hornets should be more than willing to give him that opportunity.
